- SENDS WARNING TO CIVILIANS IN GAZA TO LEAVE
Amidst the continous air strike against Gaza since the Saturday's Palestinian group surprise attack on Isreal which has caused over900 deaths and about 4,500 injuries, tensions over the Isreali Palestinian/Hamas war are becoming higher as Isreal announced the siege of Gaza with 300,000 new soldiers in preparation for ground attack.

It will be recalled that Benjamin Netanyahu, the Prime Minister of Israel, stated firmly on Wednesday that the Israeli military is intensifying its ground preparations with 300,000 soldiers. In the statement, Netanyahu declares every Hamas member a dead man.
"Every Hamas member is "a dead man." Over 300,000 newly recruited Israeli reserve troops have gathered at the Gaza border", the Isreali Prime Minister declared.

This declaration has raised serious questions as to what manner the war will be fought and if the attack will not be a 'modern massacre" considering the fate of the civilians in Gaza strip which is the stronghold of the Palestinian militant group Hamas that carried out the devastating saturday on Isreal.
Meanwhile, the Isreali Prime Minister had in a statement in the early hours of Friday 13th October that civilians in Gaza to move southward to avoid been caught in the firepower.

Gaza strip where Hamas operates its control over its portion of Palestine is a narrow strip of land, approximately 40 kilometers long from north to south, with a width ranging from six to 10 kilometers. It is bordered by Israeli-controlled areas and the Mediterranean Sea, with only the southern part adjacent to Egypt. The population of Gaza is densely concentrated, with approximately 2.3 million people. "If hundreds of thousands of Israeli troops enter simultaneously, it will inevitably result in a large number of civilian casualties" says a report by Kan TV, an Isreali-state owned TV.

After Natanyahu's declaration of preparing for ground attack, the world has caught a fever of the possible outcome of ground war between the Israel's military "whose capabilities have been regarded as "mythical" and Hamas forces who have been seen as a ragtag group".
However, the saturday 7th October surprise attack on Israel, demonstrated Hamas' strong organizational and tactical abilities. They miraculously managed to keep their actions a secret, which prevented Israeli and US intelligence agencies from knowing about the large-scale surprise attack Hamas had been preparing. This may as well play in their favour in the envisaging ground war. The most devastating tactics of the group is kidnapping for negotiations.
Therefore, Isreali's preparation for ground attack apart from attempting to get rid of Hamas group is to rescue about 150 of Isreal civilians captured during the saturday 17th October attack.

There are indications that Isreal is dragging feet on the commencement of the ground attack on Gaza. Perhaps, to give enough room for a negotiation that may be ongoing on the release of the Israeli civilians. It may also be that Isreal hopes to warn the Hamas group army out before the commencement of the ground attack or to decimate the soldiers to pave way for a smoother ground campaign against Gaza strip.
