MAKE OGUN STATE YOUR INVESTMENT DESTINATION, DAPO ABIODUN CALLS OUT TO FOREIGN INVESTORS AS THE STATE HOLDS INVESTMENT AND POWER EVENT
Ogun state hosts the vice President, Shettima, Lagos deputy Governor, Hamzat at Agbara Roundtable event for sustainable investments and reliable power supply


In the efforts to further develop Ogun State as an investment hub in Nigeria, the State governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun recently hosts the "Agbara Business Roundtable event" in Agbara area of the state where he calls on foreign investors to always make the state their location for investments.
According to the governor in his statement the event marked a significant milestone in Ogun state and Nigeria's quest for sustainable investments and reliable power supply.

The event, which was attended by Vice President Kashim Shettima, GCON, Lagos state deputy Governor, Prince Kadiri Hamzat and other electricity industry players, emphasized the importance of reliable power supply as the foundation of a robust economy and a catalyst for investment. Without affordable and sustainable power, a nation risks economic stagnation, underdevelopment, poverty, insecurity, and political instability.

The event also discussed the need to unite resources from the private sector, international development organisations, and governments worldwide to address the energy access challenge and eliminate the energy deficit in sub-Saharan Africa.


Further in his statement, the Ogun State Governor remarked that "President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, has demonstrated the capacity, creativity, and determination needed to power Nigeria and bring about a fundamental shift from outdated practices".
"Our administration has implemented a transformational philosophy called ISEYA, focusing on infrastructural development, social welfare, education, youth empowerment, and agriculture and food security".


This according to the Governor has "led to Ogun State ranking third in internally generated revenue in the Federation. The Agbara Industrial Estate has become a thriving hub, accommodating numerous operational companies and contributing to the economy's growth"


The Governor in the event also added that the state's project, "Gateway International Agro-Cargo Airport is a strategic project designed to facilitate the exportation of agricultural and non-agricultural goods, boost socio-economic activities, and increase revenue generation".
He therefore concluded with the assurance that Ogun State is committed to sustainable power generation and invites investors to consider Ogun State as their investment destination".
