The Ondo state born Princess Lola Adegoke is not strange to lovers of Nollywood, especially, the Yoruba genre of the Nigeria's film industry.


It is worthy of note to state that Lola Adegoke as an actress has paid her dues rising through the rough and tumbles of the Yoruba films and entertainment spectrum, starting from the nadir to become a notable actress through painstaking focus and unwavering commitment in the world of the make-believe.

Being the second child and first daughter among four children,with a younger brother and a younger sister, she did not get any special attention. With this reality, right from a very young age, Lola knew she had to take her destiny into her hands. Therefore, she decided to pick up the gauntlet and fight positively to become significant in life. As such, she set out on her own, seeking the golden fleece.


As she grew up, she took special interest in the Nigerian film industry, though not knowing how to penetrate the industry to make her mark. But even at that, she kept her dreams and hope alive knowing that someday, somewhere, the doors will open to usher her into the industry. As she stuck to her guns, providence soon smiled on her, and she found her route into Yoruba genre of Nollywood.


For her focus and determination, Lola ADEGOKE soon found herself under the tutelage and wings of famous actress, Bukky Wright of Saworoide fame, becoming one of the products of Bukky Wright School of Performing Arts. From that point, there was no looking back for Lola Adegoke, as she took advantage of the opportunity to exert herself as a talented actress in the Yoruba genre of the Nigerian film and entertainment industry.
Using her distinguished talents; human management skills and dexterity in the acts of imitation, she is seen as an actress with vast talents.

Lola Adegoke who played the role of Moremi in a Yoruba film produced to celebrate the legendary Moremi, one of the heroines of Yoruba history who delivered Ile-Ife and adjacent cities from the invasion of enemies, Lola displayed her distinguished innate gifts in acting to the delight of the audience.

She has since then acted in many films to entrench her presence as a visible and notable actress in the Yoruba genre of Nollywood.


Lola Adegoke, has not only made her mark as a celebrated thespian, but has equally made her influence to be felt in the Yoruba genre of Nollywood as a leader, which led to her emergence as the chairperson of the women’s wing of a Yoruba genre of Nollywood association (TAMPAN) Ondo state, a testimony to her sterling qualities.
