A report just breaking in has reportedly revealed that a military base in Yobe State, in the North East Geo-political zone has been attacked by terrorists who are now at large.

According to the report which was still sketchy at the time of filing this report, the military base which was reportedly attacked was in Gubja town and local government area of the state.

While full report on the attack is yet to be ascertained, it was reported that a Nigeria Army personnel was killed during the attack.

This incident has made many Nigerians to make comments bordering on whether or not the Army will go on a reprisal attack as was done recently in Delta state.
While some people believe the situations that warranted the army to attack the Delta community of Okuoma is different from that of the Yobe community. Therefore, the army has no base for retaliation.

Meanwhile, others believe the army will not be willing to make a reprisal attack because it happened in the Northern Nigeria. According to them, worst situations have occurred without the security raising even a finger against the suspected culprits.

However, a social media commentator via an X (formerly Twitter) account,' Ismaila Isa' tried to debunk the claim that the Nigerian army and other federal government apparatus unduly favor the North against the Southern Nigeria.
"We can sort out the difference if you remind me the name of the terrorist group that wasted military officers in Delta state! I heard of a community in Borno State that was leveled down for just providing hideout to a terrorist, talk more of getting involved in the act.

While another X account user "Ferdinand @ferdexploits' reiterates the imbalance treatment in the way the North and the South regions in Nigeria are treated in his comment.
"They do so in the south only. Even if they kill all the army there, they would not level the town nor the community. That's the reality in Nigeria.
