JUST IN: IJU ISHAGA SHOP BURGLARS ARRESTED BY OKO-OBA POLICE

The Police have announced that two suspects who burgled shops inside the Iju-Ishaga market in Iju Community of Ifako-Ijaiye Local government, Lagos State were caught at the early hours of today upon interception by the police of Oko-Oba police division.


According to SP Benjamin Hundeyin, the Lagos State Commissioner of Police, the suspects were caught arround 6:30 am on Sunday 31st March, 2024 through the stop-and-search routine by Oko-Oba police division. According to CP's statement, the burglars: 24 years old Adeyemi Ibrahim and 45 years old Taiwo Adisa were intercepted in a mini bus popularly known as 'Korope' with one generator, one gas cylinder and one Bluetooth speaker.


The statement by Hundeyin added that "Upon questioning, it turned out they just broke into a shop in Iju-Ishaga area and stole the items.

Meanwhile, the statement reported that the Shop owner has been contacted for return of property and that prosecution of the two suspected burglars follows immediately.
