UNITY AMONG BRANCHES OF GOVERNMENT IS NEEDED FOR NATIONAL DEVELOPMENT – PRESIDENT TINUBU

The President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, His Excellency Bola Ahmed Tinubu has sued for unity among all the three branches and divisions of government in Nigeria for the country to achieve the objectives of national development.


The President said this in Lagos at the special meeting with the members of the Nigerian Governors forum and members of the National Assembly as well as principal officers of the Presidency led by the Vice President, His Excellency, Kassim Shetima.

Those at the meeting with His Excellency President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Vice President Kashim Shettima include Senate President Godswill Akpabio, Speaker of the House of Representatives Tajudeen Abbas. Others in the meeting include members of the Nigeria Governors Forum.


Addressing the meeting, President Tinubu emphasized the importance of unity and collaboration among the federal government, state governors, and members of the National Assembly "to reach our national development objectives".


Speaking the meeting in a statement His Excellency, Prince Dapo Abiodun, the Executive Governor of Ogun State in a statement, said "In Lagos today, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, convened a productive meeting with members of the Nigeria Governors’ Forum and leaders of the National Assembly. The discussions centred on fostering unity and collaborative efforts among all stakeholders to achieve a successful and prosperous society for Nigeria.

Governor Abiodun in the statement added that he used the opportunity to engage the President on issues that border on how to ensure a good future for Ogun State through unified commitment between the state and the Federal government .


"Under President Tinubu's insightful leadership, there is a determined commitment between Ogun State and the Federal Government to working closely together to pave the way for a brighter future.
