History will be made in Nigeria as the first privately built crude oil refinery by Aliko Dangote will be officially commissioned by President Buhari. This no doubt will seal the Chairman and CEO of Dangote group's position as the richest man in Africa.
Prior now, the net worth of Aliko Dangote was put at over twenty billion dollar. The worth will no doubt increase with the new refinery that has the capacity to produce 650,000 barrels per day and will also upwardly review the country's GDP as petrol products rank among the highest imported materials in Nigeria. The refinery will also include a $2 billion fertilizer plant.
Dangote group has also revealed its plan to extend its cement plants to more African countries like Congo and others, as well as increasing the outputs in the existing plants scattered all over Africa. With all these, Dangote's affirmed positions as richest man in Africa and Nigeria, richest black man and one of the three Nigerians that make the world richest billionaire list by rating platforms like Bloomberg Billionaires Index and Forbes etc list will be sealed.
