There are new waves of troubles this evening at Fagba railway community, Iju-Ishaga, Ifako-Ijaiye LG as the displaced hoodlums are reportedly attacking passers-by. Report also said that the hoodlums are jumping across fences to attack people in their homes.

It will be recalled that men of the Lagos State Taskforce had gone on Saturday 12 August,2023 to Fagba railway to destroy and burnt down all the shanties built along the railway line. The reason is the security and environmental challenges. The RRS was called to come to the rescue as the hoodlums had re-grouped and to attack.

Fresh troubles erupted this evening, Monday 14th August 2023 when members of the Lagos state Taskforce went back to Fagba railway line to stop attempts by the displaced miscreants to reconstruct their makeshift houses along the railway line.

It was reported that the Taskforce destroyed and burnt down all the materials met on ground gathered by the miscreants.

It was however reported that the miscreants began to attack passers-by and even residents in their houses at the departure of the Taskforce.

The residents seem to be under serious threats as we have received a number of distress call from the residents. One of our source who identified herself simply as Kenny explained that people in her street (Adefolabi street) are presently under fear of attack.

"I was about going out to buy some things when I saw people running about. I was told to go back and the gate to the entrance of my street was locked immediately".

She however added that noises were heard afar off as it was said the miscreants who are majorly of Fulani tribe were jumping across fences of the residents to attack people who are majorly of Yorubas origin. She then called on government and the security forces to please come immediately to their rescue.
