In what looks like statement of mockery, Aisha Yesufu, a renown Human rights activist whose fame rose with the 2020 End SARS saga has said that the conspiracy of the Northerners has turned against them.
She said this while reacting to the protests from Northerners against President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's announcement that head offices of some federal institutions will be relocated from Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory to Lagos.
In the Activist's words, the North got what they deserve for voting Tinubu instead of Peter Obi. In her words, if North had "voted for Peter Obi, he would have already made the North to look like London. Bola Tinubu's attempt to transfer some offices of the federal institutions from Abuja to Lagos is the conspiracy of the Northerners that turned against them. Aisha Yesufu mocked.
It will be recalled that the Federal government under Tinubu has recently announced the plan to relocate head offices of some federal institutions back to Lagos. Top on the list of the institutions are FAAN and CBN.
The announcement have since been generating controversies and protest from Northern people, especially, the Arewa Consultative Forum. The ACF group in a statement released by the National Secretary of News Professor Muhammad Baba has declared the federal government's announcement and action as a plan against the Northern region.
The association said that it "is a serious issue for the future and the interests of the North and other parts of the country.
Aisha Yesufu concluded in her comments that the northern region of the country has plotted against itself by voting Bola Tinubu in the presidential election that was held as it is reported that FAAN has confirmed that the federal government has decided to transfer its headquarters from Abuja to Lagos.
